And here we are again - almost 13 years to the day since my first post, and needing to get serious about weight loss again. In the intervening years I have generally kept my weight under 12 stone 7 pounds, but over the last year it has crept up, and I'm now nearer 13 stone 7 pounds. That is still a good bit less than I was in June 2010, but I need to reverse the trend sooner rather than later. Not least because age is also creeping upwards, and my joints could do with a little less to carry around, although I'm managing to stay pretty active.
So here goes - not Dukan this time, just trying to be a bit healthier and staying away from an excess of bread. Measurements have converted to kilos this time - 1 kilo being around 2.2 pounds, so a general weight loss of c.1 kg a week is about what I can hope for.
The goal is 66 kg (equating to near enough 10 stone 7 pounds - and a total loss of 3 stone) - it may be unattainable, but at the very least I'd like to hit 11 stone something.
And here's day one . . . no breakfasts by the way, that's not a diet decision, I'm just not really a breakfast person . . .
Weight: 85.6 kg
Lunch:
Carrot, courgette and cucumber sticks with hummus and cottage cheese
Dinner:
Jacket potato, salad, homemade coleslaw and cottage cheese; strawberries and greek yoghurt

Swim (30 lengths); Steps (11,147)
Pretty good start I think, managed to stay off the alcohol too!
